Start Mother’s Day off right! Instead of placing fresh-squeezed orange juice on the breakfast tray, whip up a Berry Green Bliss smoothie (from my Clean Eating Cleanse Program). It’s a lovely taste of spring that will jumpstart her day. Light and refreshing, it’s a tasty blend of fiber, fat and protein, with a gentle, natural sweetness.
1-1/2 cups water OR non-dairy milk, like almond, hemp or coconut
1/2 cup berries, frozen or fresh
(*I favor blueberries)
1 cup baby spinach OR baby romaine
1 tablespoon flaxseed, whole flaxseed, then ground in a spice grinder
1-inch piece of ginger
1 handful parsley (optional)
1 teaspoon of raw honey (optional)
Place all ingredients in a Nutribullet or high speed blender and mix until smooth.
